And the ride begins in Ocean City

After waking up to breakfast at Theresa and Dave's house, is was time to hit the road for Ocean City, where the C2C US50 starts. Though the three of us have been planning this trip for months, today is the first time we all have met.

A
Rudy, Dave and I prepare to ride while Sammy the dog wonders if he can go too
Dave's rear tire developed a slow leak. Chuck the gnome tries to help.

Leak reappeared so a tire swap was in order in the WalMart parking lot.

The starting photo on the beach in Ocean City. California, Here we come.....
Chuck enjoyed his time on the beach, but missed the road.

The mileage sign in Ocean City, MD. Sacramento isn't the Pacific, so we'll have to ride even further to reach the beach.

The Spocott windmill, still used once a year for milling grain.
While taking photos of the mill, a professional videographer driving by, spotted the sidecar rigs and pulled in to see what was going on. He ended up interviewing and filming the three of us for a utube video. Will post the link once it's posted.
From there we went looking for the seafood Maryland is famous for - crab cakes. Found it at Jimmies and Sooks restaurant. Great crab cakes.

Tomorrow we ride into Washington DC.

Nite Da'mit

  2. Beware while in Washington, D.C. Nothing but liars, crooks and politicians.....whoops, redundant synonym use.....

Good luck and safe riding to all of you......
